Beaming with pride, Sachin addressed the media after receiving the award, and shared a heartfelt reflection on the legacy of the award’s namesake. “I am feeling responsible now, because the name, Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar—it’s not just a name, it’s a big task,” he said. “And anyone who is honored with an award with such a big name, for him it’s a sense of responsibility now. Right now I am feeling this sense of responsibility, because I am in the 62nd year of my career… think of his sense of being. I am so grateful to God that such a moment came into my life, into my family’s life. Now I am going to reach many more milestones.”
Standing beside him was his wife, acclaimed actress Supriya Pilgaonkar, who shared in the moment of pride. “As a wife, I am feeling extremely happy and honored,” she said, her emotions visible as she celebrated the recognition of her husband’s lifetime of dedication.

Organised by the Mangeshkar family, the ceremony commemorates the enduring legacy of Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar and now also stands as a tribute to the legendary Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar.
